Support for connection problems with the adapter

With the latest update you can now see more easily why the connection to Carly Adapter does not work. For example, if Bluetooth is deactivated, you will immediately be notified its off. If the connection still cannot be established, you will be guided step by step through troubleshooting.

Is your adapter already plugged in?

  1. Plug in your Carly adapter
  2. Make sure you have chosen the right vehicle
  3. Hold your Android device near the adapter and try again

Are the LEDs of your adapter on?

The LEDs do not light up

  1. Unplug the adapter and plug it in again
  2. Start the engine of your vehicle
  3. Hold your Android device near the adapter and try againIf the ignition is on, there may be a problem with the adapter. Please contact the Carly Support.

Is the blue LED of your adapter flashing?

The blue LED is not flashing

A connection to the adapter cannot be established. There is probably a problem with your adapter. Please contact the Carly Support.

The blue LED is flashing

  1. Unplug the adapter and plug it in again
  2. Start the engine of your vehicle
  3. Hold your Android device near the adapter and try again

Help with diagnosis and understanding error codes

Carly classifies all errors in the diagnosis into three different categories.

Action required

This fault may cause damage to your vehicle. Please clear the error memory and use your vehicle for 2-3 days. If the error reoccurs during a further diagnosis, we recommend a repair to avoid further damage.

Observe

This error is not (yet) critical. After deleting and re-diagnosis, check if this error is still present. Fix the underlying problem as soon as possible to avoid possible consequential damage.

Non-critical

At the moment this error is not critical. To be on the safe side, make regular diagnoses to monitor this error and if necessary take action.

Help if coding of your vehicle does not work

Should the coding of your vehicle not work, you will receive a meaningful error message and assistance.

No codeable systems found

  1. Perform a diagnosis and clear all errors
  2. Lock the vehicle and let it rest for at least 30 minutes (so that all control units go to sleep)
  3. Turn on the engine and let it run when using Carly. (Battery voltage too low?)
  4. Set the communication speed to low in the settings.
  5. Try again
